Spent Easter weekend at this hotel and had a great time. The location was stunning, with beautiful views of the sea and plenty of aquatic life to explore. The food was also fantastic, with delicious meals prepared by the chef. The hotel was also very environmentally conscious, which was a big plus for me.
There were a couple of issues during my stay. First, the room I was assigned faced a busy area of the hotel, which meant less privacy.

excellent stay, amazing food, great prices, outstanding service and elegant dining. Upgraded to a bungalow on the water, perfect for getting away. Saw dolphins every day!
Bring bug repellent for no-see-um bites.

At El Clandestino, we experienced a true oasis of tranquility and natural beauty. The breathtaking views of the sea from our comfortable stilt house were truly unforgettable. We were able to indulge in snorkeling right off the deck, surrounded by vibrant coral reefs and colorful starfish. Sebastian, the owner, made our stay even more delightful with his delicious meals, especially his mouthwatering shrimp curry and delectable pie. The location and ambience of this hidden gem were perfect for a peaceful getaway, and Sebastian's warm hospitality made us feel truly cared for. Additionally, we were amazed by the mesmerizing bioluminescence at night, adding to the enchanting experience. Despite a few minor inconveniences like the no-see-um bites and the limited air circulation in our room, the overall charm and beauty of El Clandestino more than made up for it. We highly recommend this hotel for nature lovers seeking a serene escape from the crowds. our stay at El Clandestino was a truly memorable and rejuvenating experience.

The views from the hotel were absolutely breathtaking, with crystal clear water and stunning coral reefs to explore. The location provided a secluded and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Additionally, the food at the hotel was amazing, with delicious homemade bread and a variety of fresh dishes to choose from.
One of the main downsides was the lack of airflow in the rooms, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable at night, even with the fan on. Additionally, the presence of sandflies and mosquitoes was a nuisance, requiring constant use of repellent and covering up.
